Rick Heitzmann is a Co-founder & Partner at FirstMark, where he focuses on investments in consumer technology, marketplaces, healthcare, gaming, and data and information services. Rick has led investments in market leaders like Pinterest (NYSE: PINS), Riot Games (acquired by Tencent), DraftKings (NASDAQ: DKNG), Airbnb (NASDAQ: ABNB), StubHub (acquired by eBay), Discord, and more.
Before founding FirstMark, Rick was an entrepreneur and founding member of the senior management team at First Advantage (NASDAQ: FADV), which he helped grow and sell to First American (NYSE: FAF). Rick has been named to the Forbes’ Midas List as one of the world’s top venture capitalists for the last three years in a row, and has received similar distinctions as one of the world’s top venture capitalists from CB Insights, Insider, and the New York Times. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Venture Capital Association.
Rick holds a B.S. from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
