After nearly a decade at ICONIQ Growth, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve joined FirstMark as a Partner to lead the firm’s growth investing efforts. This is the start of an exciting new chapter—one where I get to continue doing what I love: building deep, trusted relationships with visionary entrepreneurs and actively supporting their journey in building market-defining businesses. I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey alongside Rick, Amish, Matt, Adam, Shilpa, and the talented team at FirstMark.

I’ve long admired FirstMark’s bold, high-conviction approach to investing and unwavering commitment to being “all-in” partners to founders. They back entrepreneurs at the earliest stages and have a history of doubling down on emerging leaders at pivotal inflection points, investing across all stages to support their continued success. They planted roots in New York at a time when building a top-tier venture firm outside of the Bay Area was considered contrarian. Today, they’ve transformed that bold vision into a thriving platform—raising 10 funds and over $3.5 billion in committed capital while backing some of the most transformative companies, including Shopify, Discord, Pinterest, Airbnb, DraftKings, Upwork, Ro, Synthesia, and Dataiku.

A defining aspect of FirstMark’s DNA is its relentless dedication to community building. They’ve spent more than a decade developing proprietary ecosystems like Data Driven, CloudNY, and Guilds by FirstMark—unparalleled communities and networks designed to equip entrepreneurs and operators with invaluable resources, connections, and insights to accelerate their growth.

Alongside the professional move, I’ve also made a personal one – trading the Bay Area for the fast-paced energy of New York. What’s immediately clear is that it’s not just one of the largest and most dynamic markets in the world; it’s a vibrant hub of ambitious founders, brilliant operators, forward-thinking consumers, and innovative enterprise buyers, making it an exciting place to build and scale world-class technology businesses.

As I reflect on joining FirstMark, I’m grateful for my journey at ICONIQ—joining the platform in its early days and working alongside a talented team as we supported exceptional founders in building impactful businesses. I’m especially thankful to the incredible people I had the privilege of working with at Miro, Datadog, Snowflake, HashiCorp, Fivetran, Hightouch, Collibra, Unit21, Reprise, and so many more. 

I’m looking forward to this next chapter and the opportunity to support entrepreneurs by leveraging FirstMark’s platform to help them grow and succeed.
